Martin Van Buren was the eighth president of the united states. He liked catfish so much that he made fishing for it against the law in 4 states making this one of the first laws protecting animal rights. He also liked to eat catfish when it was prepared for him by his wife after a long days work. In 1879 he published American Catfish Journal which later made the New York Times Best Sellers list (Dalton Back Publishers- Test p.145 seg. A).
